Got back from New York yesterday. I was there for work so I didn't see too much, but it is the first time I actually saw a few things usually it is just showrooms, airports, and cabs. Wandered down to times square on my first day there, it was down the street from our hotel. Note to self: don't go back to times square during tourist time. I am way too short to be stuck in crowds. Short people get squished, pushed, and stepped on in crowds. Also, I didn't actually go inside, but I coulde see the Empire State building from my hotel room window. Does that count as a tourist attraction checked off my list?
And times square was pretty amazing. Another thing off the list. What will I squeeze in next time?
But even better than the "touristy" things are the places we went to eat. One night was Bagatelle Bistro and they have the coolest logo I have ever seen!!
After Bagatelle was the rooftop bar at the Hotel Gansevoort (no we are not on Miami Social, but we are pretty fab!).
Next night dinner at Accademia di Vino. One of my top meals of all time. We didn't even open a menu, the waiter picked everything for us and it was fab!! Pic is kind of small, but it's the best I could find.
So that's my trip in a nutshell. Good food, good friends, and of course work with a tiny bit of sight seeing added in.
PS Heard that they are going to be showing 500 Days of Summer in more theaters!! Maybe it will come to Arkansas. One can only hope.
