Heelllllooooo

So maybe once summer is over and the lounge chairs at the pool right outside my front door aren't always calling out to me I'll post more regularly. Not promising anything, just saying ya know maybe.

In the next few weeks I want to re-do the main wall in my living room. This re-do will be followed by a another re-do this time of the main wall in my dining room. Because it is really one huge wall that desperately needs some spicing up.

For over the couch, we (and by we I mean me) will be doing a great wall transfer. Really hoping I will be able to apply this as one huge sheet instead of many small items, but I guess we'll see. Regardless, it is so cool and not kitchsy like the usual wall transfers. I have chosen this as my first project, once I get some extra $$$ to buy it (and I am taking donations for anyone who is looking to get rid of some cash).

Then in the dining room, and stick with me now because this takes some imagination to get what I am going for, I am going to do two four foot picture ledges in white. They will be stacked one on top of the other (see below dining room pic for example). Then for the last row, I will do two 2 foot wine bottle shelves. I currently do not have a place to store any wine because my teeny tiny kitchen does not allow for any wine racks so putting it on the wall will be perfect. Now this project comes last because it costs way more than the wall transfer. Each picture ledge is $55 plus shipping and all that jazz. If I knew any carpenters I would be hitting them up at this point to make these things for me. And then the wine bottle shelves are $75 each. And I need two! Highway robbery I know, but I pray the final look will be worth it. So for all that talking below are the pics.

The actual picture ledges I will use. And I'm a bit devastated because West Elm used to sell these things for less than Pottery Barn and now they cost the same. Hello aren't we still trying to save people money??

And the wine bottle shelf, but this will be in white too. And no wine glass shelf, I hate those things.

My new patio chairs get delivered this Friday. I promise pics as soon as they arrive. And now I am going to work on some new music for ya'll to enjoy as you read because my iPhone has brought me back to the world of not having to listen to the radio for music and I am so happy to be here. Hope ya'll like it!!
