Two Thumbs Up
So all of these things get an enthusiastic two thumbs up from me. Try one or try them all, I promise you won't be dissappointed.
1. New Moon new trailer. Got goosebumps the first time I watched this and I watched it twice in a row. Yes I am a dork but I love love love it! Is it November yet?
2. Essie nail polish in Big Spender. Got this on my toes in NY and I am in denial about the fact that it is time for another pedicure because I do not want to take the color off. It is great and it matches really well with the #3 item that I am loving right now.

3. My Havaiana flip flops. Item I love #2 totally matches the purple of the peacock feathers of my flip flops. Now if only I could get away with wearing them to work.
4. Greenies pill pockets. Eddie is now on this super crazy medicine to deal with his skin issues. Apparently they use this medicine in humans who get organ transplants to help their bodies not reject the organ. Weird I know, but if it works and he gets some relief from the constant itching, scabs, and hairloss I will gladly keep giving it to him. Only problem, the pills are huge and my crafty little pup can remove one that is hidden in cheese in no tme flat. Enter Greenies pill pockets. He thinks he's getting a treat of beefy goodness and inside that treat is his super power pill. Wish I had invented these things.
4. Owl City. They were the free download on iTunes a few weeks ago and I am now obsessed. Right now my fav is Fireflies, but Vanilla Twilight is starting to grow on me. Check them out now!!

I'm starting a new book tonight, so I may be giving that two thumbs up too. But for now not sure. It got mixed reviews in the office (our team is like a mini book club, I love it), two good ones and one bad. So we shall see.

Oh and after a recent trip to the Cantina Laredo restroom I am loving Spanish music again, haven't really listened to too much since college but I think I've been missing it more than I knew. But Owl City really should get the music two thumbs because they have been getting more play time on the iPod, so next week maybe I'll Pandora some Spanish music. I'll keep you kids updated. Until later.

Heelllllooooo
In the next few weeks I want to re-do the main wall in my living room. This re-do will be followed by a another re-do this time of the main wall in my dining room. Because it is really one huge wall that desperately needs some spicing up.

Then in the dining room, and stick with me now because this takes some imagination to get what I am going for, I am going to do two four foot picture ledges in white. They will be stacked one on top of the other (see below dining room pic for example). Then for the last row, I will do two 2 foot wine bottle shelves. I currently do not have a place to store any wine because my teeny tiny kitchen does not allow for any wine racks so putting it on the wall will be perfect. Now this project comes last because it costs way more than the wall transfer. Each picture ledge is $55 plus shipping and all that jazz. If I knew any carpenters I would be hitting them up at this point to make these things for me. And then the wine bottle shelves are $75 each. And I need two! Highway robbery I know, but I pray the final look will be worth it. So for all that talking below are the pics.

The actual picture ledges I will use. And I'm a bit devastated because West Elm used to sell these things for less than Pottery Barn and now they cost the same. Hello aren't we still trying to save people money??
And the wine bottle shelf, but this will be in white too. And no wine glass shelf, I hate those things.

My new patio chairs get delivered this Friday. I promise pics as soon as they arrive. And now I am going to work on some new music for ya'll to enjoy as you read because my iPhone has brought me back to the world of not having to listen to the radio for music and I am so happy to be here. Hope ya'll like it!!

Bright Lights Big City
But even better than the "touristy" things are the places we went to eat. One night was Bagatelle Bistro and they have the coolest logo I have ever seen!!
After Bagatelle was the rooftop bar at the Hotel Gansevoort (no we are not on Miami Social, but we are pretty fab!).Tuesday, July 21, 2009
Time flies
Hope you guys can read that. Maybe get your magnifying glasses out.

I-40 Antique Mall
It goes great with the old rotary phone that our lakehouse next door neighbors gave me when I was a little kid. Good thing my mom never throws anything away (and owns goo gone to remove the stickers I put on this forever ago), or this phone probably wouldn't still be around.
Next "vintage" item I'll be adding to the collection. My great-grandmother's typewriter. My mom actually wrote her masters thesis on it. She's only giving it to me on the condition that I won't sell it (as if I would). I guess not being a pack rat like she is is a stike against me. Can't wait to see what kind of vintage items I find to decorate with next?

Fireplace issues
Not the best shot of the fireplace, but you get the idea.
The room from Divine Design and hopefully something I can recreate in my house.

So that's my plan. Stay tuned to see how it works.
