Also going to have to buy this little cutie. I've always been obsessed with polar bears and at $5 I can't resist him.

Me Time

Apparently I'm a little obsessed with pillows embroidered with French sayings

Oh and everyone on my Christmas list is getting those little soaps, so get ready.
Ok, gotta dash off. Rachel Zoe is on and it would be "BANANAS" if I missed an episode. Later

Lucky Dog
We also made homemade dog treats. Guess who got to eat the left over dough?
In my next life can I come back as one of my pets? They've got it made.

Black Eyed Peas
Ok, so blogger is kind of starting to freak out on me, maybe there is a limit to the amount of pictures you can upload. Good thing I was done. Later.

Fabulous Finds
My mom came to visit this weekend. She took my puppy back with her to Texas for a little while so he doesn't have to be kenneled while I go in and out of town for the next few weeks. We had lots of fun shopping and eating, and drinking!
There is a little antique mall here called Fabulous Finds that we always love to go to when she comes into town. And yes, our finds were pretty fabulous, check them out...

Imagine this little darling painted black and hanging in my entry way, after some rewiring just to make sure it won't set my house on fire of course. Oh and it was only $49!

Oh and the pictures are courtesy of an iphone ap that creates older looking pics. I'm still playing around with it. Some come out better than others. Ok, have to pack for my 5:40am flight. Yikes!

New isn't always better

Then I saw a FOR SALE in the yard a few days ago. Was this fate smacking me in the face and telling me this was the house for me? I needed to find out more info so tonight I found it on the internet (although not on the listing realtor's site, note to self don't use them) and I was thinking about calling my realtor right now. Only $99,900, which could definitely be negotiated down and the backyard is HUGE (more peeking, oops). What more could a girl want?
So let's have a look at the info: 2 bedrooms, more to the point 2 closets, perfect; 1 bathroom, I can make it work; separate dining area, nice for entertaining, so far so good. 654 square feet. WOAH this place is tiny, tiny, tiny. I think the backyard is bigger than the whole house. The washer and dryer are in the second bedroom which does not work for my guests. And there does not appear to be a fridge, the main reason I think is because one wouldn't fit!
Suddenly my condo that I feel like I'm growing out of seems huge, 500 more square feet huge to be exact. This whole thing made me realize that being burned out on home projects is not a reason to start envisioning oneself sitting on a new, project free, front porch sipping lemonade.
Sometimes something new isn't as great as what you already have. This whole episode just tells me that I need to dive right back into my own projects starting with replacing the honey dijon colored counter in my half bath.
My mom comes to visit in two weeks and when she arrives I am dragging her to all the places I can possible think of where I can find a cheap but chic counter top for this vanity. Suggestions are welcome. I'm renewed to update my comfy condo one room at a time, just like HGTV taught me. Wish me luck!
